Judd Altman surprises his wife on her birthday but finds her in bed with his boss. After he learns his father has died, he returns to the family home, where his mother orders him and his three siblings to stay home for the duration of one week to reconnect their mother. As the siblings work through their individual relationship and personal issues, arguments ensue, but more touching moments also start to appear.
