Successful novelist Greg Russo is awarded a residency at Ludlow College, where he joins his adult daughter, Katie, who works as a professor there. Arriving on the heels of Katie’s scandalous divorce, Greg wants to support his daughter through a challenging personal and professional time. But as Greg arrives on campus, he finds his own life transformed, and he begins to take inspiration from one of his most beloved characters, the roguish private investigator, Rooster.
