Detectives Jake Doyle and Mary Kelly leap into action when reports start circulating of a brutal copycat murderer. The pair seeks the assistance of "the Artist," an incarcerated serial killer whose work this new menace imitates. The three of them form an unlikely alliance as Mary unravels the depths of the cerebral yet sullied psyche of the Artist to search for clues.
